Overview
I designed and facilitate a 12-module Technical Product Management course at AltSchool Africa, separate from my 4-week AI Product Management course. It's built for PMs who want to go deep on the technical side of the role, not just work alongside engineers but genuinely understand what they're building.
The Problem
Most Product Managers can write a spec, but far fewer can read an API doc, reason about a database schema, or understand why a system design choice constrains what's possible in a roadmap. That gap shows up as friction with engineering, PRDs that don't account for technical reality, and PMs who can only ask "when will it be done" instead of "what's the right way to build this."
The Curriculum
Twelve modules, building from the ground up: PM foundations, web fundamentals, APIs, SQL, system design, developer tools, design, PRD writing, analytics, security and compliance, and AI/ML, ending in a Week 12 capstone project that pulls the whole curriculum together.

Impact
Students come out able to hold their own in a technical conversation: reading API documentation, reasoning about data models, and understanding the tradeoffs behind a system design decision. That technical fluency is what lets a PM write specs engineering doesn't have to translate, and earn the kind of trust that comes from actually understanding the system you're managing.
