Developer Experience · Event Tracking · AI Content Generation

Overview
At Bunce, I served as Product Manager with a focus on developer experience. I owned and managed the developer portal (developers.bunce.so), ensuring that the technical documentation, onboarding flows, and integration experience were clear, complete, and developer-friendly. Bunce is a data-driven engagement platform that helps businesses communicate with their users through multiple channels including email, SMS, and WhatsApp based on customer behaviour, actions, and intent.
Event Tracking Feature
I led the development of the event tracking feature, a capability that lets businesses track activities happening within their applications and use those events to trigger automated engagement flows. When a user completes an action (a payment, a sign-up, a drop-off), Bunce captures that event and fires the right message at the right time. This was a foundational feature that made Bunce's automation engine meaningfully intelligent rather than time-based.
AI Innovation Research
I conducted user research to explore where AI could add the most value within the platform. The research pointed clearly to one area: content generation. Writing personalised, on-brand messages at scale was a consistent friction point for businesses. We resolved to prioritise a generative AI feature that would help users create better copy faster, without compromising their brand voice or messaging quality.

Impact
The AI content generation feature we built and shipped became a key part of Bunce's pitch as an AI-native engagement platform. This positioning contributed directly to Bunce being selected as one of 10 Nigerian AI startups awarded funding through the NCAIR-Google AI Fund, receiving 100 million naira from the Nigerian government and $3.5 million in Google Cloud Credits, alongside mentorship from Google engineers.

You can verify this through coverage from Techpoint Africa, Arise News, and The Cable.
